Cowgirl Artists of America: Women's Work

Opening Reception August 2nd, 5-8pm

Women's Work showcases the expansive and significant contributions made by women past and present. Its goal is to spotlight the diverse and influential roles played by women in building our societies and to present a more nuanced and accurate representation of women in the West.

Beyond showcasing the impressive achievements of women, Women's Work is a testament to women's essential and enduring contributions. It's a call to action, urging us to expand our collective consciousness, to remember the multifaceted women who have shaped and are shaping the American West.

Western art holds significant influence in shaping people's perception of the American West and its way of life. By featuring and promoting the works of female western and indigenous artists, we can more accurately depict the diverse experiences and contributions of these groups to the Western culture and society at large.
