Nearly 6,000 porcelain beads are stained, hand pinched, then woven together with the wool from Robin Lynde’s flock in Vacaville, California. During my time at Robin’s farm, I learned of the immense amount of work and dedication that it takes to care for a flock. I wanted to both honor the beauty of these animals by replicating their fleece while creating a visual manifestation of the labor involved in their care.
