$10,500.00

24.5"h x 9"w x 20"d, Bronze with unique hot color patina, limited edition of 30

The love of horses has been a driving force for my whole life, it’s how I view the world—those that understand and love this wonderful creature, and those that do not…Jenny Lancaster is one of those people that love, understand and celebrate the horse. She has been training horses and people for 30 years, in Taos ,NM, where I met her for this project. The joyful happy power that comes from doing what you love shines through in this sculpture, it’s meant to mirror all of us women who just can’t live without horses in our lives, either artistically or literally. Celebrating the freedom that this kind of confidence gives you is an important element of the bronze. Lastly, the horse is in a way sculpted by the cowgirl, she shaped and nurtured every impression in the clay, and hence the bronze.
