Jackie Sevier "Indian Fair"

$765.00

10" x 16" Embossed Paper/ Gold Leaf

Collector Edition of 35 Modified images of my ancestors from a Northern Arapaho historical photograph depict the social and cultural values of women's work. Horse regalia, cradleboards, buckskin dresses, and elk teeth are a great source of pride and prestige among women and men alike. My own memories of Indian Fair of parades, horse races, teepee races, and beadwork competitions inspired this piece. Keeping in mind the moon is our mother, she is the fourth woman in the composition.
