Sage Edsall "Worked"

$1,725.00

24” x 36”, Acrylic on panel

The woman I have featured in my painting, “Worked”, is my younger sister, Shay (Kinsey) Evans. From the time we were little, cattle have always been a part of our lives. It wasn’t uncommon to find a cold, wet, newborn calf in our laundry room, and steering my dad’s single cab Chevy while he tossed out hay from the bed of the truck became one of my favorite activities. My mom and dad weren’t blessed with any boys, so as we got older, my sister and I had to take on the role of dad’s “right-hand women”, doing things like helping load cattle, find a lost calf in the snow, or fixing water gaps. Now that our parents are getting older, we feel even more responsible to help out when we can, even though my sister and I are both married and live miles away from our family’s ranch.
